Märzen Attacks: A Cosmic Twist on Oktoberfest Beer Can Label Art for Outfit Brewing

Located in the heart of Dallas, Texas, we at Outfit Brewing take pride in embracing the city’s vibrant creative scene. As Oktoberfest drew near, I had the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with our talented team to design an unforgettable beer can label for our new Märzen, brewed by Mike Frazer. The result? “Märzen Attacks,” a playful nod to the iconic Tim Burton movie, “Mars Attacks.”

Where Brewery and Artistry Merge: The Story of “Märzen Attacks”

The label's centerpiece is none other than Jordan Young, the brewery's charismatic owner, reimagined as the mischievous dog, Noriega, leading the charge against hop-loving Martian aliens. These aliens, with their oversized hop heads, are invading downtown Dallas, where the beer's story unfolds. Iconic landmarks like the Big Eye Sculpture and towering buildings wear the Outfit Brewing logo, blending the brewery seamlessly with the cityscape.

A Creative Spin on Beer Can Label Graphic Design

My approach to this project was to infuse it with a distinct style, remniscent of a laid-back, sketch-inspired design, all vibrant and alive with colors. The label reflects the blend o creativity and craftsmanship that’s at the heart of Märzen Attacks—an affectionate nod to the classic Märzen beer with a cosmic twist. I invite you to pick up a can, savor the brew, and immerse yourself in the playful world o Märzen Attacks as it adds a unique flavor to your Oktoberfest experience.
